About Me

What can I say about myself...

I was born and raised in the UK, the second child of three.

I spent my childhood reading fantasy books. I dreamed of riding dragons, going on daring quests, and exploring incredible lands. My creativity was encouraged by my parents and shared by my siblings. My sister and I were always writing little stories and all three of us have always loved drawing and creating characters.

I love fantasy, video games and roleplay games of all kinds. My love of fantasy fiction sparked the creation of the world of T’Kola. I spent a lot of time watching nature documentaries, discovering all the weird and wonderful ways that nature adapts to different environments, and incorporating it all into my own creatures.

It was a love for Dungeons and Dragons in particular that inspired the characters in The Art of Belonging, allowing a story to be told that explores the Six Kingdoms and the fantastic creatures and people who live there.

I mainly write high fantasy set in T'Kola, but I have written a few short stories in other genres during my time at University while studying for my bachelor's degree in creative writing. All the best of those stories can be found in Anthology.
